Dalhousie
Castle has 29 beautifully styled bedrooms and have emerged after extensive
renovation.
The
Castle bedrooms are decorated in traditional style fabrics of soft fawn,
patterned with blue or green fleur de lys. Period style furniture, rugs
and carpets, all blend to create a rich, warm and luxurious environment.
All
bedrooms feature elegant en-suite bathrooms, and every 20th century
comfort. The majority have delightful views
The
Historically Themed bedrooms are individually and elegantly styled with
sumptuous fabrics and furnishings giving the rooms an exclusive feel.
The
'de Ramseia' Themed Suite emerged after years of careful restoration.
As
well as housing the 500 year old Castle Well, the sitting room's furnishings
complement beautifully, the Suits' historical feel.
Polished
wooden floors with luxurious rugs, medieval style furniture, leather
sofa and soft lighting giving the 'de Ramseia' a sympathetic ambiance
in keeping with the Castle's history.
The
antique carved oak double bed dominated the bedroom, with soft furnishings
in hues of green and yellow ochre.
A dark mahogany desk, antique mirror,
period style fireplace and comfortable armchair add tasteful features.
The Suite also boasts an invigorating Jacuzzi.
You
can see the bedrooms in detail in our Virtual
Reality Tour pages
The
100 year old Lodge, now brought back into the Estate, and built in the
original Castle Quarry, is just two minutes walk from the Castle, and
is accessible by car.
The
additional 5 bedrooms all with en-suite
shower are newly refurbished in a relaxing
country house style. Lodge guests will have exclusive use of the Sauna
and Jacuzzi facilities. The lodge provides a peaceful and secluded haven,
overlooking the twisting South Esk river and beautiful green woodlands.
Guests staying at the Lodge have use of all the Castle's facilities
including breakfast, and luggage transfer is available.

"...The
fact that you took the load off our shoulders and contributed
so much attention to small details made this day really a day
to remember. I wish I could repeat the day again, and again -
and again."

Mother of the bride, Canada
