John & Julie were married at Dalhousie Castle in Scotland on the 1st November 1999

On their retun to the US they wrote:

Seventeen days ago... almost to the hour... Julie and I were married in a castle south of Edinburgh, Scotland.

My immediate family attended our wedding and witnessed the following....

Julie in a beautiful wedding dress with tears welled up in her eyes.
She was stunning.
She walked down the stairs of the Castle's chapel followed by a Scottish Piper playing his bagpipes.

The piper's music echoed throughout the chapel.

I was standing so very still near the podium in full formal Scottish attire. I was so nervous... She was so beautiful..

As we gave each other the rings, Julie and I each shared wedding vows struggling to speak the words.

I was first to say the vows, lump in my throat and Julie with tears flowing down her cheeks. When it was Julie's turn, she could hardly speak but made it through.

And then with big smiles on both of our faces we were pronounced husband and wife.... and finally kissed.
