Bobby and I fantasized about getting married in a castle when we first started discussing our wedding plans.

"Wouldn't that be the most romantic idea?" we'd say to each other.

One day we were looking through a travel brochure of Scottish castles and decided then and there that we would make our dream wedding a reality.

We knew that we wanted our wedding to be in Scotland, the rest was up in the air. We planned our entire wedding in just five months with the dedicated help of my mother and Yvonne at Scottish Wedding Consultants.

We had just moved to a new city and had friends spread throughout the country so the easiest wedding to plan seemed to be a small, intimate wedding with family only.

Our family was thrilled! (I think they were afraid we'd run off to Scotland by ourselves and have all the fun!). Of course, we had all sorts of questions, especially from the men who were a bit apprehensive about the kilted wedding attire.

Yvonne was flexible to our ideas and calmed our fears throughout the entire process. The minute we met Yvonne in Scotland, we knew we were in good hands.

Our family stayed in a beautiful and cozy castle and felt as though we were the "royal family". Our wedding ceremony was perfect and I must say that it was the good humored personalities of the hairdresser, photographer, bagpiper, and minister that truly made us feel special.

We had a wonderful dinner reception in the "dungeon" of the castle, complete with a harpist and plenty of champagne for all! We love to show our pictures to anyone and everyone who asks to see them.

From the men trying on their kilts, (quite proudly may I add), to our first kiss as husband and wife, people seem to be in continual awe of the romance of our entire experience.

We feel that this was the best possible wedding for us and we are counting the days until we return to Scotland.

We highly recommend their service and must admit that the hardest part was ending our daily correspondence with Yvonne.
