A
sumptuous wedding venue, Newmiln is an 18th century Scottish mansion
House, standing within its own 700 acre estate, and bordering with historic
Scone Palace. There are sporting
pursuits available on the estate, as well as locally, such as horse
riding, clay-pigeon, grouse or pheasant shooting, falconry displays,
golfing, tennis, stalking and of course salmon fishing on the local
River Tay. (Fishing, Shooting and Golfing parties particularly well
catered for!).
Newmiln is beautifully furnished with wonderful antiques which are given
even more colour by the roaring log fires.
There
is also a magnificent "Gone with the Wind" staircase, intricate wood
panelling and beautifully proportioned public rooms offers the guests
a style of hospitality which is rich but yet cosy with a "home from
home" feel.
The
breathtaking views and the natural woodland walks and waterfalls that
surround Newmiln enhance its unique
character.
Newmiln
has
a fast growing international reputation for its excellent Scottish cuisine
by way of the Michelin starred and 3 AA Rosetted Head Chef, John J.
Webber. There is also a fine selection of wines to compliment the delicious
food. A resident piper welcomes guests to Newmiln and, from arrival,
the house is exclusively yours to enjoy.
Or
maybe something close to the sea perhaps?...

"...As
for our comments on SWC, Yvonne, and getting married in Scotland,
it could not have been closer to perfection. Yvonne was always
at the ready with ideas for organizing and entertaining. She had
to contend with organizing events at two different venues since
we had our wedding and post-ceremony celebration at Dupplin Castle
and our reception dinner at Newmiln Estate (both in Perth). She
was tireless in mediating for all of the services we needed. She
even went beyond our expectations" Sharon & Glenn,
